Difference Makers Global Community hosts exhilarating and challenging Adventures for Charity in some of the most spectacular locations in the world. Participants use the adventure to raise funds and awareness for a charity near and dear to their heart and have the experience of a lifetime while doing it.

PURPOSE AND HOPE
Through Adventures for Charity, Difference Makers Global Community brings purpose-driven people together to make a difference for those in need. The idea grew out of Al DeCesaris’ coast-to-coast bike ride and further developed during his East Coast run to fight Sturge-Weber syndrome, the rare neurological disorder that afflicts his niece Jenna. It then took shape when Al walked the historic Camino de Santiago across Spain. During that journey, Al faced adversity yet shared joy, triumph, and fellowship with new friends from across the globe. It was a life-changing experience for Al as well as a successful charity event, raising funds and awareness for Sturge-Weber research in both the U.S. and Spain and giving hope to those living with the disorder.
Adventuring in support of a charity is a fun and exciting way to make a difference. These experiences teach us valuable lessons, allow us to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, and empower us to achieve things we didn’t think possible. Al was blessed to experience this first-hand, and it is his hope to share the amazing benefits of Adventures for Charity with others.
